A trio of projects for the Binghampton neighborhood of Memphis, TN. Called "Exploration Stations", the three sculptures are placed along the Hampline, a new bikepath joining a citywide network, intended to encourage bikers to stop and interact with the art and the neighborhood. A very interactive neighborhood indeed. Special thanks to Pat Brown of T. Clifton Art and UrbanArt of Memphis for bringing this project into reality. Thanks to Paul West and the West Memorials crew and Tylur French for their help on the ground in Memphis, making the install easy. And a final shout out to Baltz and Sons Concrete for a fantastic concrete job on a tight timeline at a reasonable price. |
