This family of sculptures begins in river boulders. In the same way
children will respond to any object in their path by building
imaginative play around it, these sculptures spring forth from the
boulders. They are suggestive abstractions welcoming visitor's own
conceptual overlay, inviting people to see their own imagery. The
project grew out of my involvement with a team
project with designers from Nevue Ngan and LandCurrent rehabilitating a children's playground and park for Portland
Parks and Rec in Portland OR. Commissioned by Portland Parks and Rec
thru RACC.
