Spalanzani's Generator
This kinetic sculpture is driven by renewable
energy in a way that talks about alternative energy sources. Energy from
the solar panel drives the yellow sculptural arms through an unusual
cycle, while visitors can generate energy on the bike to drive the blue arms through a similar cycle. Commissioned
by and designed in conjunction with the North Carolina Zoo.
